You beat me to it...

Something has "just changed" at The Archive, causing a major problem on how Browsers are rendering my LMA web pages. My Items on the LMA all have rich HTML content in their Description field and in their Notes field. Today, when I load my LMA webpages into my browsers, they will not render my HTML tags and codes. Instead, these tags and codes are being printed out.

Some of my Items will now render part of my HTML codes (details field) while NOT rendering other parts of my HTML (notes field). This NEW problem looks pretty bad. I have worked several years putting all these archival recordings, photos, video clips, and descriptions together into these collections.

I'm running Win XP; using Opera, Firefox, and IE browsers. All my s/w, OS, and browsers are current revisions.

Short list of my HTML-defective Items of mine on The Archive (browsers won't render HTML)...

I can take any of the HTML-coded web pages of mine, from the links I've provided, and then I can post them to The Forums. My coded web pages will render PERFECTLY in The Forums right now, every time.

Right now, The Collection pages will NOT render these web pages correctly - especially in The Notes field. The Forums pages ARE rendering web pages correctly.

The HTML-code file parsing is defective in The Archive's Collections.

You're right. I've a mind to post all my damn work in Forums.
Who knows? Maybe even JavaScript and iframes will work there.

On a positive note, seems like HTML is faring better in Ourmedia, at least in the Description field.

What you just said, "I've a mind to post all my damn work in Forums."

Bingo! Do BOTH!!! You cannot place "collections" (audio, video, PDF's, JPGs, etc) in The Forums. You may place web pages in BOTH The Forums, and The Collections. Beyond that, the Our Media Collection, as I see it, is a Collection of Collections, and I put some Collections in there too. Then I'm taking elements off the internet and threading this rich history into a tapestry as I see it... from the point of view of a Hippie-Cowboy-Trail Grub, GD lover, Taper, soundman, electronics tech, and Broadcast Engineer.

In the year 9595, the archaeologists in what was known in the 21st century as California, unearthed a digital encyclopedia. They had been troubling for some time on the meaning of an arcane phrase, which they could not decipher. That phrase was, "You da man." When finally the last bits of dust were brushed away, it all became clear. Why, it referred to The Taper, Monte Barry.

After months of hoping against hope that the Archive engineers wouldn't discover that JavaScript and iframe were enabled in the "Source" and "Lineage" fields of the LMA (and in the "Source" field only of Community Audio), kiss goodbye any chance of remedying what Brewster laments as "boring pages." They've found and "fixed" the "problem."
